About Richard Ramos II
Richard F. Ramos II is an ordained Elder in the Global Methodist Church, holding full membership in the Mega-Manila Annual Conference. He was appointed a Missionary to the Filipino American community in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area and International Partnerships Coordinator. Dr. Ramos earned his Doctor of Ministry in Evangelism from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University (Dallas, Texas) and holds three master's degrees earned in the Philippines, South Korea (graduating with scholastic records Summa Cum Laude), and the United States. In 2002, he received a full international student scholarship for his MTS program at Perkins School of Theology at SMU. In 2016, his doctoral dissertation, "The Ministry of Healing and Wellness in the Life of the Church," was awarded a citation With Honors. In March 2025, Dr. Ramos and his ministry partners founded Fil-Am Mission International, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. He leads this organization as the President. Furthermore, he had served in various roles at United Methodist and Korean Methodist churches. He responded to the call in ministry in 1993.
Richard experienced a spiritual rebirth when he gave his life to Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior on February 17, 1988. He is passionate about connecting churches and leaders to further Christ's mission globally. He leads and promotes "God's Vision of Wholeness," a ministry platform focused on Holistic Healing and Wellness. Complementing his theological studies, he has taken clinical psychology and counseling courses, bringing over sixteen years of experience from US-based healthcare organizations, where he continues to consult and receive mentorship from healthcare professionals. His diverse research and ministry interests include holistic healing and wellness, faith and medicine in cardiovascular health, preaching and evangelism, clinical psychology & counseling, prayer and worship, biblical studies, history, and politics. For the past 15 years, Richard has worked for a nonprofit, science-based organization dedicated to conducting scientific research to prevent and cure heart disease and stroke. Richard and his wife, Eva, an ordained deaconess and preschool teacher, reside in Dallas, Texas. They have been blessed with two amazing children: John Reeve, 22, and Vea, 15. They are actively involved in ministries at First Methodist Carrollton, Texas.
